Department trainers must have effective communication techniques as well as knowledge of practical skills. They must keep pace with change, improve their knowledge, and share their experience with others.

The Certified Hospitality Department Trainer (CHDT) designation provides recognition for these skills. Recognized worldwide, the CHDT designation is the lodging industry's highest acknowledgment of professionalism for department trainers in the hospitality industry.

Fee for the CHDT program:

Nonmembers: $80

Prices are subject to change without notice.

Fee includes: Exam; Certificate and Lapel Pin upon successful completion of the exam.
Fee does NOT include the Trainer Development Program Workbook (necessary study material for the CHDT exam).

The CHDT designation may be used on letterhead, business cards, and other writings.
